Tamil People residing in Canada thanked the Canadian government by gathering in front o f the Canadian parliament on 2nd of April , sources said. People also hand over special letter towards foreign embassies in Ottawa. Members of the Canadian Tamil Forum thanked and hand over special letter towards 15 ambassadors from 24 nations which supported to pass US resolution against Lankan government in Geneva. Ambassadors received the thank you letter promises to send the copy of this letter towards their leader of the country. They also urge Canadian Tamil people to continuously work hard to establish reconciliation and human rights in SriLanka.

These delegates also stated that they all feel happy on hearing this thanksgiving meeting organized by the Canadian Tamil Congress in front of the Canadian parliament in Ottawa. Speaking to a journalist senior parliamentarian stated without political differences all the Canadian parliamentarians were present at this special meeting. Senior member of the present Canadian government announced Prime Minister who had visited United States to hold special discussion with Obama also shared opinions on this special meeting.
