Kazhugu Movie Review

Krishna has had just two releases before. – Alibaba and Kattradhu Kalavu. In his ery third film, he seems to have come up with a matured performance complimenting the story and script of the movie.
Kazhugu is no ordinary movie. It is about men whom the society has not bothered to look back. It takes a look (perhaps a closer look) on them. The emotion, anger and agony of men who live their lives lifting bodies ( after suicides) in Kodaikanal. Director Sathyasiva seems to have put in his hardwork and researched well. The detailing is good.
With supporting cast like Thambi Ramiah and Karunaas around, Krishna’s task becomes easy. All the artistes have lived their characters.
Cinematography by Sathya, music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and choreography by Dinesh adds strength to the script.
Kazhugu rolls in Kodaikanal. Sera (Krishna), Nandu (Karunaas) and Shanmugham (Thambi Ramiah) live their lives by lifting dead bodies from hills of Kodaikanal, where peplemany prefer to end thier lives fearing failures. These men lift the bodies and live in their own world of emotions and sentiments.
Kavitha (Bindhu Madhavi) who works in a tea factory loves Sera. But Sera, a callous man with no ideas in life is against it. However Nandu and Shanmugham convince him that he has start a fresh life and have a family for a better tomorrow. All things go well in all their families untill Ayya (Jayaprakash) enters. He is a baddie and his act ends the joy in the families of Sera, Shanmugham and Nandu.
Krishna deserves special mention. He compliments the character that he gets to play. He emotes well too. Bindu Madavi does a clean act. She has in it to do challenging roles.
Karunaa’s and Thambi Ramaiah Shado give their best. They are the flesh and blood to the script.Jayaprakash desrve a special mention.
Yuvankar Raja has come up with catchy songs. A couple are hummable.
Produced by Talking Tims, Kazhugu is promising and pleasing fare.
